What is FIRST LEGO League (FLL)?
For the 2018 -2019 season, TTA has 3 FLL teams managed and coached by Shelby McElroy along other volunteer parents/community members. The three teams this year are: Robotic Space Whales, Galactic Tigers, and Planet Bagel. They will be competing at the Sylvania Regional Qualifiers at Sylvania Southview High School on December 8th, 2018, which is a free event open to the public!
TTA has hosted the most consecutive years in a row out of all of the “1st round” competitions in Ohio. This is a free event open to the public hosted at Toledo Technology Academy on December 1, 2018 from 8am-4pm. Our competition is unique to others as it is mainly run by TTA student volunteers, rather than adults! Students will be encouraged to sign up to volunteer through a Google Form sent through TTA email.
Students cannot join teams mid-year. Students (7th and 8th grades) are offered to join within couple weeks of school through class and TTA email.
