Toledo Technology Academy of Engineering is a 7-12 high school in the Toledo Public School (TPS) district, but a school of choice. It is a magnet school that focuses on the CTE program of Engineering and Science Technologies. The school was created to address the growing need for a skilled manufacturing force in Greater Toledo and North West Ohio, an area that has had a long history of companies in machine building, and automotive related companies. Toledo Technology Academy of Engineering accepts students from around Northwest Ohio including students from suburban, private, parochial, and catholic schools. This high performance school provides a rigorous career and college readiness curriculum. Students are also provided the opportunity to earn college credits while still in high school. Toledo Technology Academy of Engineering curriculum is taught using project-based learning. Additionally, students have the opportunity to work closely with industry partners and participate in internships during their senior year that often lead to employment after graduation.
